Every table at a partner bar has a QR sign. Scanning it proves you’re really there. No download, it opens in your browser.
✅Verify with Instagram
You DM a one-time code from your own account to @overlap.hq. That proves the account is yours. We never ask for your password.
👀Women look first
Women see the men in the room first and choose who gets to see their profile. A woman can also switch on “Let men wave first”. Then men can wave at her, and she decides whether to wave back.
👋Waves and Instagram
When a man waves, his Instagram shows on her card, with a peek at his posts. She decides whether to wave back. If she does, her Instagram shows to him. Nobody sees an Instagram without a wave.
🤝Meet for real
When you match, Overlap suggests something to say to start the conversation. Say hi in person, then both tap “I met them”. A match opens a 15-minute chat to find each other. When it locks, the conversation happens in person.
🔒Privacy
We don’t track your location. The table scan is the only check-in. Venues set how long a session lasts, and you can hide any time. Venues only see headcounts, never who you are.
